🗓️ Itinerary

Day 1: Addis Ababa – Awash National Park

• Depart early from Addis Ababa via road (approx. 4–5 hours drive).

• Visit the beautiful Kereyou tribe villages on the way.

• Afternoon game drive in Awash National Park.

• Visit the Awash River waterfalls and spot wildlife like oryx, baboons, and crocodiles.

• Overnight: Lodge or camp inside or near Awash Park.

Day 2: Awash – Dire Dawa – Harar

• Drive to Dire Dawa (approx. 6 hrs).

• Stop at Aliyu Amba or the Afar villages en route.

• Short city tour of Dire Dawa: Railway station, colorful markets.

• Continue to Harar (1-hour drive).

• Overnight: Hotel in Harar.

Day 3: Full Day Harar City Tour

• Visit the walled city of Harar (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

• Explore vibrant Harari houses, traditional markets, museums, and Islamic shrines.

• Visit the home of French poet Arthur Rimbaud.

• In the evening, witness the Hyena Feeding Ritual.

Day 4: Harar – Addis Ababa (Flight or Drive)

• Fly back to Addis Ababa (1-hour flight) or drive (optional).
